Due to unexpected disruptions throughout the school day, we have decided to make an adjustment in our procedures. We will no longer accept outside food deliveries, except when they are delivered by family members.

This decision was made to ensure the safety and security of the school environment as well as to minimize disruptions during instructional hours. We understand that it is always frustrating to change a procedure in the middle of the school year but appreciate your patience.

If you missed the in-person order date for the cap and gown, jostens.com is where you can order your senior students' graduation package. As graduation draws near, the option to order online will be removed. If that occurs, you can place your order at 1-800-JOSTENS. Please be aware, gowns are custom made and take 6-8 weeks to create. Don’t delay if you have not ordered.

We are starting a new initiative that allows students who have purchased but never opened a sealed item from the cafeteria to share with other students by placing the unopened item in a bin for other students to enjoy at no charge.

The carry over period for students who were receiving free/reduced lunch for the 2022-2023 school year ended on September 27, 2023. If a new 2023-2024 application was not received your child was automatically put on paid breakfast and lunch effective September 28, 2023.

Sandwich High School values a safe educational environment for our staff and students. No persons other than the parent/guardian, parent designee, legal guardian, government officials, those pursuant to warrant or subpoena, or school personnel will have permission to see a student during school hours without being verified by showing a drivers license/state issued ID.

All visitors or venders who may need to go beyond the office are required to display a visitors’ badge during their stay and must provide a driver's license/state issued ID to be scanned in order to generate a name badge/ lanyard.Visitors must be escorted at all times while in the building.

Sandwich High School will generally email a bi-monthly newsletter. The purpose of this communication will be to highlight the latest things going on at school while also keeping you up to date on future events.

Students are not allowed to drive and park at school unless they have a parking permit. Parking passes cost $95 for the 2023-2024 school year.

If dropping off a student at Sandwich High School, students who are walking through the parking lot have the right away.

Just a reminder to students and parents, outside food deliveries must be left on the entry table in the front vestibule. Students will not be released from class for food deliveries.

Student drop off and pick up is at the back of the school (door #1).

Also, when a stop arm is out on a bus, it is illegal to pass it.

While phones and book bags are permitted at SHS, each teacher has a unique classroom management system. Phones and book bags in the classroom will be at the discretion of the individual teacher.
