Welcome to McClure Elementary
August 14th-18th
Dear Amazing Marshal Families,
We had the best first three days with our students back on campus. We really have the BEST students in MISD and we loved seeing them this week. Please take the time to read through this newsletter weekly. I include a lot of important school information each week. We will still be a closed campus to visitors/volunteers this week.
Make sure that you have read through our back to school information from the principals for the 23-24 school year. It is filled with important Information that is useful throughout the year.
Grade levels will have a grade level remind this year to send out reminders throughout the year. Reach out to your teacher if you have not signed up.
If you have a 4th or 5th grade student, be on the look out for a special Marty's Memo tomorrow for information on gaining access to your Spring STAAR 2023 results.
Have a great week Marshals!

23-24 ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures - The Safety of Our Marshal's is Our #1 Priority
ARRIVAL MAP
It is imperative that we all follow our arrival and dismissal procedures in order to keep all of our Marshals safe. Your student may be dropped off through carpool lane or parent walk up in the morning. If you are walking your student up to the front entrance, you will need to park in the South parking, cross the crosswalk, and then follow the sidewalk up to the front doors. Please DO NOT use the handicapped parking spots if you do not have proper permitting. Please follow the traffic flows on the maps below in order to allow our traffic to flow smoothly.
DISMISSAL MAP
If you are picking your student up in carpool or parent walk-up, please make sure you have your McClure student pick up number with you for the 23-24 school year. For safety reasons the color of the tag changes yearly. Staff members will only release your student with the current year's tag.
Please use the correct location for your student's dismissal.
Please DO NOT park in the bus lane at any time during the day. This includes arrival and dismissal. The fire lane is for Daycare, School Buses and emergency vehicles only!
Complete Your McKinney ISD Volunteer Background Check for the 23-24 school year
Background Checks are required yearly
A valid state or government issued photo ID must be presented each time you visit, volunteer, or pick up a student. Please be prepared with your ID upon arrival. We are not allowed to accept a photo of your government issued photo ID.
Interested in volunteering in McKinney ISD for the 2023-2024 school year? Volunteer applications are being accepted for the upcoming school year. McKinney ISD requires all volunteers complete the required volunteer process each school year.
All volunteers with McKinney ISD agree to a background check each school year prior to beginning volunteer duties. McKinney ISD is dedicated to making sure that all students have the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and secure environment.
The volunteer application process is just one effort used by the school administration to help make our schools safe.
VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS MAY TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS TO BE PROCESSED.
To apply, click the link below and select the School or schools of your choice. An email account is required for notification purposes. Once your volunteer application is processed and the criminal background check is complete, you will receive an e-mail notification regarding your application from the MISD Human Resources department.
