ACCEPT core values at ThesCon
Congratulations to Mitchell’s 18 thespians who attended ThesCon this past weekend in Denver at the Colorado Convention Center. ACCEPT core values were displayed by all through workshops, attending individual events, being an audience at main stage performances, as well as conducting themselves respectfully throughout downtown Denver at meals and the hotel.
Abdulhaq Alrudani, Emma Henry, Alyssia Reaves, Brayden Whitney, and Mieranda Houghton performed and received “Excellent” ratings. Megan Briggs also competed with two contrasting monologues.
Aries Neel-Ems submitted her senior audition, was contacted individually by 4 universities to meet with them during the conference, and was requested to apply to their schools.
Rebecca Peters, Mia Royer, Saphaera Weaver and Emma Henry displayed outstanding leadership as group leaders with constant communication with their team and chaperones.
All 18 thespian marauders make us proud!”

Mitchell Toys 4 Tots
Toys for Tots elementary visits run by Mr. Dowdy, Ms. Valdez and Student Council. They definitely showed ACCEPT core values today and made a positive impact on some of D11 elementary students!
Shout out to Mr. Dowdy and Ms. Valdez for organizing all this! We look forward to continuing our partnerships in the future to impact our community positively moving forward.
We had a huge turnout from our partners over at Fort Carson on Dec. 8th and they were amazing! They brought tons of soldiers to play and their families to watch. We also had over $150 donated and several toys as well! Thank you to our staff who participated your support and involvement means the world to us. I also want to thank Coach Dowdy and his Student Council crew for their organization in running the event. Finally, I want to thank Sgt. Newcomer and his family for taking amazing photos of the event.
Thank you to all who donated toys, played and/or came to our fundraising game with the Army, and supported Student Council's efforts in other ways.

National Mentoring Month
Every January, the mentoring movement unites in celebration of National Mentoring Month and uses the power of our collective voice to recruit new mentors, advance the mentoring field’s legislative priorities, and drive meaningful change for young people.
This month-long celebration of mentoring is full of exciting opportunities to grow the movement and raise awareness about the power of relationships.
