Parent-Teacher Conferences
The signup for parent-teacher conferences happening in March will be sent to all families on Monday afternoon (2/26). We are using a new website than we have used in the past. Conference dates are March 7 (in person) and March 12 (virtual).
You will receive an email message from PLSAS Middle Schools to schedule your conferences. The preview of the message is included so you are aware of what the header of the message will look like.
New school safety feature - STARTING FEBRUARY 20
We are excited to share some important news regarding enhanced safety measures at both Hidden Oaks and Twin Oaks school entrances. We have recently installed new video intercom systems outside the main entrances that will serve as an additional layer of security, allowing us to better control access to our schools.
All visitors must press the call button on the video intercom to notify the front office staff in order to gain admittance to the building. Our staff will be able to communicate with visitors directly through the intercom, ensuring only authorized individuals gain access. Signs will be posted to help everyone learn how to use the system.
Once inside, authorized visitors will still be required to sign in using our visitor management system to gain access beyond the front office/check-in area.
The intercom systems have been installed as part of the district’s partnership with the Department of Homeland Security to conduct assessments at our schools called, “Security at First Entry” or “S.A.F.E.”
If you have any questions or concerns as we launch this new feature, please let us know so we can work to ensure our schools remain safe and welcoming learning environments. Thank you for your assistance in keeping our schools safe!
Sincerely,
Joe Kuboushek, Twin Oaks Principal
Sasha Kuznetsov, Hidden Oaks Principal

Meeting other families and spending time with your child are other benefits!
Our Semester 2 classes are starting this week. There is still room left in our Time with Baby, ESTEM Learners, Preschool Discovery (evening class), and Art Party Classes. There are some evening classes that are one-time events such as Mindful Mondays, ESTEM Events and our Cultural Music Events. Check them out here- ECFE Registration

Early Childhood Screening is FREE and includes growth, development, and
immunization checks. Children are assessed in preschool concepts, communication skills, motor skills and social-emotional skills. The screening is most valuable soon after children turn three and gives families an early connection to PLSAS. If you know families who would like information about screening, please share our phone number 952-226-0975 or signup online

Yearbooks
The 2024 Yearbooks are on sale! Visit https://yearbookforever.com/ and enter the correct school name: Hidden Oaks Middle School OR Twin Oaks Middle School. Your child's school picture will ONLY appear in the yearbook that is his/her home school. All pre-ordered yearbooks are name-stamped with a student's name, so yearbooks between the schools are not interchangeable. Please make sure you know which yearbook you are ordering.
Yearbooks are currently on sale for $40. On January 1, 2024, the price will increase to $45. Yearbook sales will end in February, 2024.
If you have questions, please reach out to the yearbook advisor at your child's home school:
