It is an honor to serve as President of the Indiana State Association of Blood Banks. The world of Transfusion Medicine has changed a lot in recent years due to the pandemic, as well as, unprecedented national blood shortages. Throughout this time, the ISABB board and members have supported Blood Banks across the state through the exchange of knowledge and ideas. I look forward to continuing this support and collaboration across the state. Being relatively new to Indiana, I also look forward to getting to know the wonderful Blood Bankers across the state.

Last year ended with a very successful Annual ISABB meeting at the Mirro Center for Research and innovation in Fort Wayne. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to continuing ISABB’s mission to promote and foster the exchange of ideas, materials, and the dissemination of information relating to Transfusion Medicine and its technical methodology through education, publicity, and/or research. Stay tuned for details about Indy Spring Nights and the Annual ISABB Meeting.

We have good news if you were unable to attend the 2023 annual meeting. Soon we will be uploading the videos from the meeting if you'd like to watch any of the presentations. The cost for members is $30 and $35 for non-members.

Around April/May we will be holding our annual "Indy Nights."

ISABB was organized in 1980 to form an educational network among individual blood bankers and institutional blood banks in the state of Indiana.
