There is one extremely special individual who deserves acknowledgement that is beyond explanation. Steve Cass is without question, a talented and extraordinary colleague who worked tirelessly, on his paternity leave, to ensure our seniors had a graduation ceremony that was memorable and unique. Steve, we cannot possibly thank you enough for the time and effort you dedicated to our students. You are exceptional and we are forever grateful that you are a shark! -Ms. Jennifer Police

Library News
Even though we are ending our school year next Friday, Audiobook SYNC continues until the end of July. Every Thursday, AudioFile Magazine is giving away a thematic pair of audiobooks to everyone who signs up for the program. Visit the 2021 SYNC Audiobooks page on the library website to find out how to participate. All of the books are yours for 98 years, but they do need to be checked out by the Wednesday of each week.
As we are wrapping up the school year, please begin returning your library books as soon as possible. Ms. Wheaton needs to get everything back on the shelves before leaving for the summer.
Sandscript Magazine is available online and in paper hardcopies!
- Click here to view the online copy!
- Hardcopies can be found in our school library and the main office.
Enjoy!

Creative Outlets - Registration Deadline is June 30th
Creative Outlets believes that every teen can be creative and artistic. All teens need is to find what works for them! We provide teens with many different experiences with art so they can find a medium and process they will connect to. Creative Outlets encourages teens to dive into art because in doing so, they develop confidence, sensitivity to people and the world around them, and look at life from different perspectives.

Advanced Placement Testing
Advanced Placement testing began on May 3 and finally ended on June 7. This exam season required multiple test formats, rescheduled test dates due to quarantines, and even make-up digital testing. A total of 130 students in grades 9-12 sat for 219 AP exams. The exam administration would not have been possible without help from the following proctors: Kristin Winn, Ana Elmendorf. MJ Pattison, Caitlyn Hall, Sean Burke, Lindsay Ginnetty, and Sarah Wheaton. A special thank you goes out to Matt Brown, lead proctor, who assisted with the majority of the AP exams! Congratulations to our AP students who showed great effort, perseverance and determination throughout testing season.
Congratulations and good luck to the Class of 2021!

May & June Scholar Athletes
Angelica Velasquez - Girls Tennis
Angelica is an exceptional athlete and scholar. In the classroom, she carries a 4.40 GPA. I am her tennis coach and I can attest to her excellent tennis ability, team spirit, and dedication to all the players on the team. She plays in the third singles position and has excelled in the sport of tennis. She currently has a record of 7-2 and has been challenged by several talented players in other schools. She continues to improve in the sport and acts as a positive, mature role model for all the other players on the team. - Bill Burke, Head Coach
Ryder Robbins - Boys Track
Ryder Robbins is 10th In class a member of the National Honor Society with a GPA of 4.47. Ryder has been a X-Country 5-year letterman, 2-year captain, league all-star 3 years and is the co-recipient league-best runner 2020. On the track team, he has been a 5-year letterman, Captain, and a (probable) league all-star in 2021. Ryder took accountability and responsibility for his own performances as well as being a mentor and role model to younger runners in XC and track. - Don Bates, Head Coach
Colin Malone - Boys Tennis
Colin Malone has been chosen for Scholar Athlete of the month due to his consistency on and off the court. Many qualities that Colin brings to the classroom he also brings to the tennis court. As a #1 Doubles player, Colin shows strong communication, work ethic, and a desire to be challenged. In the classroom, Colin does the same by taking three AP courses including PreCalc, Computer Science, and English Lit. and carrying a 4.37 GPA. Colin is humble, quiet, and leads by example. He shows up, focuses in the classroom, avoids distractions, and gets it done. He was an easy choice for Scholar Athlete for these reasons and more. - Reuben Bowman, Head Coach
Kate Gabri - Girls Lacrosse
Kate Gabri is the epitome of the student athlete. A high honor roll student, she is a member of the National Honor Society, an AP student, and carries a 4.37 GPA. On the field, she is a stand-out player in both soccer and lacrosse. As the leading scorer for the Sharks this fall she was named a captain for next years squad. On the Lacrosse field, she is a smart and dangerous attacking player who is currently the second-leading scorer on the team. - Jenn Peterson, Head Coach
