COURSE SELECTION IS HERE FOR THE 24-25 SCHOOL YEAR
Course Selection for the 2024 - 2025 School Year
Titans and Families,
It is hard to believe but we are already starting to plan for next school year. This is an exciting time to start to plan for your/our Titan's future! Next week we will have video tutorials, class assemblies, and classroom discussions to share all that we have to offer at Arcadia, Greece Central, and WeMoCo.
In the mean time please review the course offerings guide below and start to explore and discuss your interests and curiosities with families members and friends. This is a time to discover your interests and develop your talents.
The second button below is a copy of what each student will complete electronically starting on Friday. Students have access to their own 24-25 Course Passport. All teachers will be discussing course options with students on Friday 11/17/2023. Titans are encouraged to review their selections and discuss/gather input over the weekend. This provides an opportunity for students to connect with loved ones and then back with staff on the following Monday or Tuesday before submitting final requests. All passports will need to be sub before Thanksgiving Break.
Please use these resources and let us know if you have any questions! Feel free to reach out to your school counselor or your Titan's Unit Office!
CONGRATS: 2023 NYS TESOL Teacher of the Year
Cade Fulton!
2023 NYS TESOL Teacher of the Year Award Winner
We are excited to congratulate one of our teachers, Cade Fulton for their dedication to our Titan ELLs.. Fulton works throughout the year with our high school students but then also works in the summer as a Greece's Middle School teacher to advocate, advance, and enrich teaching English as an additional language to our students. Because of the work, advocacy, and relationship's that Fulton builds, they are able to bring language to life by facilitating professional development, creating equitable spaces, implementing best practices for our multilingual learners within Arcadia High school and to our larger community. We are grateful that Fulton is a member of the Titan Arcadia Family. We are thankful for all the work and community they build. This is a well deserved recognition!
CONGRATULATIONS FULTON!
Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser
November 5, 2023 - November 11, 2023
Veterans Day, originally called Armistice Day and commemorating the end of World War I, was established to honor all who served in the U.S. armed forces during World War I and has expanded to honor all service members — dead or alive — for their sacrifices, according to the Department of Defense.
Thank you to all the Veterans in our Community and beyond for your service.
National School Psychology Week
The first week of November is National School Psychology Week.
It is with great pleasure that we recognize our two school psychologists that work in our building, Dr. Richard Vito and Ms. Beth Curtis. Thank you for engaging our Titans in discussions to help create the connections necessary for our Titans to develop critical academic and social emotional skills. We appreciate all that both of you do for our Titans and our community! THANK YOU!!
Make sure you are recertified for Winter Sports!
Winter Sports:
JV & Varsity sports start on Monday, Nov. 13th. Before a Titan may try-out for a sport, Titans must have an updated health physical within the last year and must be recertified.
This includes those new to sports and those who have already completed recertification for a different sport. You can find the recertification link and tryout information here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hH8mLvTsi3slRyWGSHxwjlxrbCxF0fgjmD23eYQMF7g/edit

Attendance MATTERS - Make EVERY Day Count!
The Greece Central School District has made improving student attendance a priority for the 2023-24 school year. Since the pandemic, students are missing more school days, which means they are also missing out on more instructional time and opportunities to make meaningful personal connections.
Each month, we will be sharing this Make Every Day Count newsletter with you. It includes information about why regular school attendance is important, as well as tips for promoting positive attendance habits at home. Our staff are here to help families overcome any obstacles to regular school attendance.
Please reach out to your Titan's teachers, counselor, or our building level social workers if you need help and we will develop a plan together. Our school community is always better when we are all together!
