Elementary Club Choice Fundraiser
In order to help fund our yearly activities for our elementary students and other elementary school related needs, we will be running the Club Choice fundraiser starting on September 15th. Students will be bringing home the fundraising packet on the 15th of September and they will be due back on October 6th. Online orders will be open one week past the due date of the packets. All items ordered to the school will need to be picked up on November 8th. More information will come out regarding pick up times. Please consider fundraising to help support our elementary students.
Elementary After-School Tutoring
Elementary after-school tutoring for the 2023-2024 school year has begun. Tutoring is only open to students that have been recommended by their teachers. After-school tutoring will take place Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the elementary library. Miss Watson will send home a form if your son/daughter has been recommended to attend tutoring.
Eco Ed Day
Seventh graders from Hankinson, Lidgerwood, Wyndmere, Fairmount, and Richland attended the Eco Ed day at the Bagg Bonanza Farm on Wednesday, September 6. Students are split into groups that rotate through five different stations - Prairies, Soils, Water Quality, Wetlands, and Woodlands. They also complete a scavenger hunt to put their knowledge to work. Staff from Chahinkapa Zoo came to talk to students about conservation. They also brought a three-banded armadillo, a corn snake, and a ferret for students to learn about and have an opportunity to touch.
Counselor's Corner
Welcome back to school!
I would like to start off by saying congratulations to the Class of 2023!!
“You are off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!” Dr. Suess. All of you will do great things, best wishes in your future endeavors.
Even though I am sad to see summer go, I am excited to be back in school and in a routine. Most of all, I am excited to see students again and the excitement they share about being back to school, some more than others! This is year number 12 for me as a school counselor. It is hard to believe it has been that long! Every year has been different and brings it’s own challenges and triumphs. Here is to a fantastic 2023-2024 school year!!!
Seniors – I will be scheduling senior parent meetings soon. Please watch the mail for the details on these. If the time doesn’t work for you, please do not hesitate to contact me to change the time. If you are planning to retake the ACT, you can register and find out deadlines at www.actstudent.org.
Juniors – You will have the opportunity to take the PSAT with the date to be determined. Watch your mail for more details on this as well. This test is optional and costs $18 paid by the student or parent.
As always if you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at the school 701-242-8533 or via email Danielle.Luebke@k12.nd.us.
