The VERY LAST Friday of the 20-21 School year is coming up! This past Friday night we had a successful Senior prom, this Friday we have our Senior Car parade, and this Saturday we get to celebrate the Class of 2021 as they cross that stage as GRHS graduates! How exciting!

9th-11th graders...your Spring exemption window is now open and will close on May 18th! Don't miss it, as there is no grace period, and you will have no choice but to take the exam or risk failing for the semester. Let's not let that happen! *PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL FINAL EXAMS WILL BE TAKEN DURING YOUR DESIGNATED REGULAR CLASS PERIOD

Hey Longhorn parents, we are so thankful for your support of the GRHS Staff over the past year. On Friday we are treating them to one last appreciation luncheon before we all have a nice long summer break!

Seniors and Senior parents please be checking your LCISD/Skyward listed email at least once a week for emails from me, these last few weeks will fly by and the deadlines must be followed!

Lamar CISD COVID-19 safety protocols- MASKS/FACE COVERINGS MUST BE WORN INSIDE all facilities and within 3 feet of each other outside. Keep being smart and stay safe by adhering to the face to face expectations by properly wearing those masks, sanitizing regularly, and following social distancing protocols inside the building to the best of our ability.

The George Ranch High School Graphic Design department participated in the LCISD Digital Media Festival in April. The results are in and winning trophies for best Picture Book Illustration and best Commercial Design is GRHS sophomore Aurora Snyder and winning for best Background Design is GRHS sophomore Ashley Rivera. Congratulations to Aurora and Ashley and all the GRHS Graphic Designers who participated in the festival. Check out the video below to see the recorded Festival produced by students from Foster, Terry, and Lamar. We appreciate them including all 5 LCISD schools!

• Information includes guidance for graduates and guests, a map of the assigned parking lots, FAQs, guidelines for requesting handicapped parking/seating and more

EACH GRADUATE WILL RECEIVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF 8 TICKETS AND 2 PARKING PASSES!

• Last Chance to Pick Up your GRAD tickets! GRHS front office 8:30-11:30 Mon-Thurs!
• Students must have completed all coursework and have been cleared of any items that were checked out to them to pick them up.
• If they still need the technology to finish 20-21 school work, that is ok...but we cannot release your graduation tickets, until this is checked back in. (Please note...these will be HELD for you, not given away!)
• PARENTS/GUARDIANS ONLY can pick up! Must show photo ID that matches Skyward and sign off that you received them when you pick these up this week!

EARLY PICKUP PROCEDURES

If you need to pick up your student early from school for any reason, please follow these procedures prior to 3:20 pm

• Students are not released after 3:20pm
• Call (832) 223-4234 to request your student and WAIT IN YOUR CAR
• You will be asked to provide student identification information
• Your student will be called out of class to the SSW (student service window) to sign out & go straight to your car
• 
  

EARLY DISMISSAL FOR GRHS REGISTERED DRIVERS

If your student is a registered GRHS driver and needs to leave school for any reason, please follow these procedures:

• Email Ms. Duran at iduran@lcisd.org TWO hours in advance of the time you need to leave
• Your student may pick up their pass from the SSW (student service window) and sign out prior to leaving

Our Admin Team is ready and willing to help! We are available (via email) during regular school business hours (8:00am-4:00pm) and will be promptly getting back with you for assistance within 24 business hours.
