Hello STEM Families :)

Our FIRST FULL WEEK of 2023 has gone very well. Students are getting back into the groove of remembering our behavior expectations at school (Respectful, Responsible, Safe).


This week we focused on Restroom Expectations as a building. We reviewed the expectations daily on the announcements and teachers continued to remind students in the classrooms. Unfortunately, we have some students that have decided to go in the opposite direction and vandalize the bathrooms. We are taking this very seriously and will follow the District's Student Code of Conduct for vandalism, which may include suspension and restitution. Please remind students that they need to respect the property of the school and the time of the people that have to clean it up.


Next week we are going to focus on Hallway Expectations, because many students think the hallways are racetracks! We are overjoyed that they are excited to get to their classroom, but we don't want anyone getting hurt along the way.


Finally, just a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr day.

Grade 3-6 Tutoring Program

We are organizing afterschool tutoring for our students in grades 3-6. This program will be afterschool two days per week, one day for reading and one day for math, from 3:45 to 4:30 (approximately). More info to come!

Small Group Research and Collaboration

Third grade students in Mrs. Murphy's 3rd grade at Springmill STEM explored earth's natural resources through small group research activities. Students then created a slide to share with their class about their natural resource.
