Dear Parents:

Please take a moment and log into PowerSchool and complete your child’s BRSD Demographic Confirmation Form for the year 2023-2024.

Alberta Education requires that we obtain a detailed update of student demographics on an annual basis. Funding they provide for your child’s education is conditional to us receiving these updates and making them part of the student’s record.

You can perform the following steps to access, review and submit the form:

1) Log into PowerSchool at https://brsd.powerschool.com/public/home.html

2) For each of your students, complete any forms which have been assigned to them.

We would like to thank you in advance for completing these forms.

BRSD continues to use PowerSchool for live up to date access to your child's grades, class schedules and attendance.

You will want to ensure that you are familiar with checking PowerSchool

throughout the year. Students in JR/SR high will also have a PowerSchool account to

access information. Information is available about how to log on to a private

account and access real-time information. The system includes a student and

parent portal, enabling students and parents to see similar information such

as attendance, grades, assignments and teachers’ comments. Students and parents will be able to log on anywhere there is internet access such as home, work or school.

Our New Norway annual Terry Fox Run will be held the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 19. Wear your Spartan colors! Following the run, we will be serving coffee and muffins and you will have an opportunity to meet the teachers and new staff members. We hope to see you there!
