Poetry Ourselves is an original poetry writing competition open to Utah’s 9th-12th graders. A student may submit either one or two original poems of any format – OR – up to a maximum of ten original haiku. Step 4 is the convening of the Standards Review Committee that was populated by recommendations from the Utah State Legislature and the Chair of the Utah State Board of Education. The Mythology Supplemental Standards have been created to provide Utah educators with guidance on the specific knowledge and skills for students to master when enrolled in a Mythology course. These standards supplement the P-12 Utah English Language Arts Standards. USBE staff is seeking 30-day public feedback to gather stakeholder input to guide finalizing these supplemental standards. The 30-day feedback window opens December 13, 2023 and closes January 12, 2024. Please provide your feedback prior to the closing date.
