Mrs. Lake's Weekly Update
09 - October- 2023
I hope you enjoyed the long weekend and your children had a chance to rest after a busy start to the school year. This past Friday teachers attended a diocesan inservice at Saint Dominic's Academy in Auburn, Maine. Staff started the day with a presentation on being a disciple by Sr. M. Paul McCaughey who has served as a principal and superintendent for over 30 years for the Archdiocese of Chicago. They then got to chose two different sessions to attend around the theme of being a spiritual leader. The afternoon consisted of a presentation about the Hallow app, which all teachers in the diocese have been gifted this year. There are many applications for this in the classroom and you will likely hear your students talk about it in the weeks to come. The day concluded with a beautiful Mass lead by Bishop Deeley and Msgr. Caron. I know it can be difficult for families when school is not in session. The staff appreciates your support in us taking the time to develop ourselves professionally.
