Authentic Prospecting Language
"What do I say?" "How do I ask?"
How to use this info
Sample language will be provided along with a discovery process to get to know our prospects so we know what direction we want to steer them and what to ask!
This document will also give you tips on how to develop real authentic relationships and connections with people. The key to being successful at this is to understand how to relate to people and have them CONNECT with you, because remember people don't join Arbonne for Arbonne, they join because of you!
FIRST!! Who are you looking for? DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP
This helps you narrow in on the people that you encounter daily, either in real life or virtually. Once you know who you want as a partner in this business, you'll be able to narrow in on them and begin organically building a connection with them.
Tips:
1) Think about people who you would really love to be friends with! What characteristics do those people have? Humour, intelligence, open mindedness, spiritual, ambitious, witty, strong willed etc.
2) Think about people who are already successful in other aspects of their lives. How they show up in life will give you a good indication of how they will show up in their business.
3) Think about a leader in Arbonne that you really resonate with and figure out why they resonate with you so you can look for people like that!
Meet My Ideal Partners
Once you figure out the types of people you'd like to prospect, start mapping out their life and who they are, even give them an imaginary name!
This again will just help you focus in on who it is that you want in your business and the more clear you are, the more likely you'll find them because you'll be looking specifically for them!

The ASK
Establish a connection first
Use the questions above to build that connection!!
An example of establishing a connection on social media might look like sending emojis, liking their posts, and commenting on their stories, even if they never engage back, at least they know you've been watching them and people like to be SEEN!
Asking to Hear the Business
Keep it Simple!
The Intro:
- Hey girl! or (Hey insert name) I just wanted to reach out and say I love your vibe and I love that we are loving on each other's posts. This may seem completely random but I have a quick question for you
- Hey gorgeous or (Hey insert name), loved chatting with you the other day! I have a quick question for you! :)
***Wait for them to respond***
The Pre-Ask: (optional)
- Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit?
- Have you ever thought about owning your own business?
- Have you ever wondering about being your own boss?
- Have you ever thought about monetizing your social media/ health journey
*** WAIT for them to answer*** (remember this is a conversation)
The Ask: (Just do it):
- So I don't know if you know but I actually own my own health and wellness business and I'm looking for people just like you to share what it is I've been doing. I'm on a massive movement to empower as many people as I can to take back their life during these crazy times. If you're open to hearing about what I'm doing I'd love to share it with you!
- I just about absolutely love everything you stand for and you're definitely my kind of people. With that said, I actually own a business in the online space and I'd love to share with you what it's all about because I think you might be interested in it! If you're open to hearing about it, I can explain how I've been able to flourish during these crazy times!
- So I LOVE that you're entrepreneurial because it's so so smart, especially for us women, and so I've actually started my own business venture and I'd love to share with you what I do if you're open to hearing about it! I think it might interest you and maybe there's an opportunity for us to collaborate on something together in the future!
This ASK is if you'd like to use your closest friends to help you out.
This helps you practice but it also give them a chance to hear what you're doing, and who knows, they could end up being genuinely interested themselves.
Hey girl,
I'm just reaching out to ask a favour from you! I just started an online business with Arbonne, a health and wellness company and I’ve fallen in love with the products and I’m really excited to grow my business this year! Would you be open to helping me practice my presentation?! I need to get better at sharing the information about the products and opportunity with people, so can I practice with you? Will need about 20 -30 mins of your time to do the video call. I would really appreciate it if you can help me out!
When they say YES!
1. Great!! I'm so excited to chat with you. Are you free _____ or ______? What works best for you?
If they ask 'what it is' before jumping on the zoom call, you can say:
"I run a health and wellness business online, alongside, my job/career/family responsibilities, and my business focuses on helping people obtain a sustainable healthy lifestyle, which so many people are desperate for these days! I also help mentor and coach people to build businesses of their own. Empowering people to flourish in their life is literally my favourite part of my business. Can't wait to chat more with you about it!"
If they say ....
No/ not right now/ thank you but/ not for me...
Here are a here things you could say:
1) That's no problem!! Would you be ok if I reached back to you in a couple months again, just to see if anything has changed?
2)All good girl! I just wanted to give you some information to see if this was a fit for you or not. I know for me in the beginning I was not open to anything new but I also knew I didn't have any other opportunities knocking on my door. So that's why I did open up and give this business a listen and I am where I am today because of it.
3) I totally get it! This business isn't for everyone! I am looking for a very specific person who has certain characteristics like...(list a couple of characteristics they they possess) to help empower them to flourish! Any chance you know anyone like you that I could potentially reach out to?
Real Life Example
Creating that connection
-Be interested in them
-Use emojis and !!! to show emotion and excitement
-Compliment authentically
-Thank them frequently
The Ask
It Works!
Asking for Referrals
Position it as you want to take the work and onus off of the connector and will do all the follow up, and connecting once the introduction is made.
Write what you want the connector to say about you and your business.
For example:
Hey __________ Hope all is well in ______________. I'm writing to make a fast introduction to a very good friend of mine, Jessica! She and I met last year at an amazing workshop we attended and became fast friends! We'll be traveling together later this year to Croatia to do another workshop as well, and have future plans to work together on some amazing projects! The reason I want to connect you with her is because Jessica has an amazing health and wellness business with Arbonne international that is expanding into [New Zealand/ Australia/ United Kingdom / United States / Poland /across Canada] (Pick whichever county applies to them). I'm hoping that you could connect with her to learn more about her business, so you can see if it's a good fit for you personally, as I know you are (very health conscious, looking for something new, are in transition) or be able to help make some connection for her there in ______ as I know that you have a very diverse network! She does a much better job of explaining her business than I can so it would save time for the two of you to connect directly! Jessica, this is _________. She/he lives in _________________. (Insert a lovely compliment about them) and I'm sure they will be happy to connect with you to learn more and make a few introductions if they are able to. I will let you both connect from here! Smiles, Jen
Asking to Try Some Products
Again try using the questions about in either the skincare or nutrition category in order to do this ask successfully.
Ask:
Prospect struggling with bloating:
"Oh I can totally relate to that! I struggled so much with bloating before and I didn't even understand what was causing my body to have these reactions. I actually have an amazing wellness program that a bunch of girls and I do together and I think you might benefit from it too! I'd love to share it with you to see if it can help with your bloating too!"
Prospect struggling with yo-yo dieting:
"I know it can definitely be such a hard balance finding that right fit with your nutrition and I know so many people struggle with it- so you're not alone! Something that really helped me was actually being part of a wellness community and a program that focuses on a holistic and sustainable approach, and for me I can happily say I have found the balance where I’m still able to enjoy foods but without any of the guilt. If you’re open to it I’d love to share it with you"
Prospect struggling with trouble skin:
"Hey Taylor,
Hope you’re doing well and enjoyed a great weekend with your little one.
The reason I’m out is because last week in your ig story, I heard you mention you were starting to notice the fine lines in your complexion. I know this feeling, believe me, and that’s why I am reaching out. I would love to tell you more about the amazing Age Well line I have been using the last 3 months. It’s really helped my skin with hydration, glow, complexion, and not to mention I've noticed my fine lines starting to fade!!!
Id love to chat with you further if you’re open to hearing about it!"
General Language to get someone to give it a try:
It’s a 40 year old Swiss heritage business! The products are incredible!! 350+ products all follow European guidelines are clean, safe, & non-toxic! I have everything in my online store; from skin products, to a nutrition regiment and more!! It’s similar to Costco where you get a membership for one year for $20 dollars & you get 20-40% discount on all products for that entire year!!! I’d love for you to become a customer and get set up with some products! As a gift from me to you if you purchase within the next 2 days I’ll give you a free gift with purchase!! Thanks it means a lot to me. Good people supporting good people!
Asking to Host a Party
Ask:
"Hey girl! I know you're familiar with my business/ products, and you mentioned you'd like to try some, so I'm wondering if you'd be open to hosting a private Fb party for me that's all online! I would set up the group for you and run it from start to finish. You're only job would be to invite your friends; anyone who you think would be interested in hearing about our amazing products and/or business. Because you'd be helping me out tremendously, I'll be happily gifting you a free full sized product and you could potentially earn rewards that would help you get your hands on more products at amazing discounts! Let me know if you'd be open to it and we can chat further!"

Overcoming Objections!
If they aren't ready for a video chat....
Use the following link to find a video that would resonate with your prospect!
Once the video is sent out, it is your job to follow up and find out what their thoughts were and attempt to book a zoom call with them after that.
OTHER!
To a new prospect:
Hey ____! Just came across your page. Love it, such a heart filled vibe! Love connecting with other like minded (fill in what you have in common with them ie. teachers, yogis, mamas, etc)
To a current follower on your page you haven’t yet connected with:
Hey ____! Was going through my list to connect with new followers and came across your account. Love it! Looks like we have lots in common. _____ (Ask them a question to get dialogue going ie. how long have you been eating vegan, doing the work they do, teaching fitness, etc). Look forward to following your journey!
An Ask to someone who's been following your social media:
1) I’m sure you’ve seen me post all about Arbonne, it’s totally changed my life and for whatever reason I can’t get you off my mind. I think you’d be amazing at this business & I think it would bless you the way it has me. It may or may not be for you, but on the off chance it is, would you be willing to look at information if I sent it to you?
2) Hi ______, (say something relevant about your last convo/time together).
I have totally been re-energized through this crazy year with this new opportunity I’ve jump into in the health and wellness space. I really think you’d love it! Totally no hard feelings if you don’t - but would love if you could take a look. Do you have time today or tomorrow to chat?
If they ask What’s the venture:
It’s a virtual, 40-year old BCorp company in the wellness space.
It’s worth taking a peak - and hearing the short biz info. It wouldn’t do it justice in a text to be honest. The call will only be information - what you do with the info is completely up to you. I look forward to sharing with you because I think you're freaking awesome!! Is today or tomorrow best for us to chat?
