WELCOME TO EATONVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Mr. Timothy Leipold has been named the official Principal of Eatonville Elementary School, effective July 1st, 2021.
Congratulations to Mr. Leipold, who has been the acting Interim Principal since October 2020. The District is thrilled to have him continue to lead the great work at Eatonville Elementary!
Mr. Leipold stated, “I am honored to be chosen to continue in my role as the proud principal of Eatonville Elementary School. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by a talented staff that works tirelessly on behalf of the students and families that we serve in Eatonville. I am also very excited to continue in my work with the district leadership team as we continue to address equity, blended learning, and universally designed instruction.”
Drop off and pick up:
Please remain in your vehicle at all times. If you need to exit your vehicle, please park in the parking lot to do so.
Please choose your lane based on the side of your vehicle that your student will exit from. Please, only open doors on the sidewalk side of your car. Students cannot exit into the middle of the road. They should always exit directly to the sidewalk.
Please adhere to the 5 mph rule. This will help to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
Students may not arrive on campus prior to 8:50am. This includes bike riders and walkers. At this time, school begins at 9am and concludes at 2:30pm.
Visitors and Volunteers
We are not able to allow any visitors or volunteers. Parents are strongly discouraged from entering the building this year. Please message us through email if you need assistance and feel free to call our main office in place of entering the building to make inquiries.
Changes to Daily Transportation
Parents need to submit changes to their child’s transportation by 1:00pm. Please alert our main office of these changes by leaving a voicemail at 360-879-1600 or emailing our secretaries, l.elliff@eatonville.wednet.edu or t.roebuck@eatonville.wedmet.edu. Due to limitations of assigned seating on the bus we need all changes made by 1:00.
Paper notes will no longer be accepted.
Tardy Policy
If a parent is dropping their child off late, the office will need to be called from the parking lot. Students who are late to school will need to come through the front door of the schools and stop at the office to check in. Parents should stay in their vehicle and watch their child until they have entered the elementary school and have been screened. We will then motion to you when your child is cleared and headed to class.
The Yearbook staff will review all photos and determine final yearbook content. We cannot guarantee that all submissions will be used . JOSTENS*
OUT OF SCHOOL DISTRICT TRANSFER OR IN-DISTRICT TRANSFER
Dear Families,
As we are getting back in the swing of things, I know next school year seems far away. However, we have to start preparing for the 2021-2022 school year. We would like to remind you that if you chose to change your academic path this year due to COVID , it was a one year only commitment and paperwork will need to be filed again for the 21-22 school year.
● If you attended any school or program that is not your neighborhood school, you will need to fill out an In District Transfer if you want to stay with that school/program. This includes EOA and EVA.
● If you attended a program not within our school district, for example Washington Virtual Academy, Washington Connections, Insight School of Washington, and want to continue with that program for next year, you will need to fill out a District Release . If you attend another school, Bethel, Puyallup, Yelm ect., you will need to fill out a release as well.
● If you live in another District and want to attend Eatonville School District next year, you must fill out a Non-Resident Admission and obtain a Release from your home district.
● If you chose to homeschool and want to continue homeschooling next year, you must file a Declaration of Intent to Provide Home-Based Instruction.
● If you chose any of these programs this year, but would like to return to your neighborhood school you must contact the building secretary to re enroll for next year as soon as possible.
In order to staff accordingly we need all paperwork filled out at your earliest convenience. Paperwork not turned in a timely manner, may result in denial due to lack of space in the programs/school. All of these forms may be found on our district website. Eatonville School District/Enrollment Please reach out with any questions or concerns you may have.
Thank you,
Kim Henley
