VIDA Registration
Hello VIDA Sharks! VIDA Registration for the 2025/2026 school year will be August 6th through August 8th. Please bring your student and have a chance to see our new campus at 2245 Foothill Drive. Students will take their school picture, pick up textbooks/chromebooks, meet some teachers and have an opportunity to tour the campus. Make up registration will be held on Monday, August 11th if you are unable to attend 8/6-8/8. We hope to see everyone there!
Free and Low-Cost Summer Activities for Students and Families
Summer 2025 is officially underway and the San Diego County Office of Education has compiled a list of free and low-cost activities to help youth and families thrive.
For more information, please click the link.
It’s that time of year - VUSD’s Annual Parent Survey! Please fill this survey out for at least one of your children in VUSD. Ideally, you will fill this out again for each of your children (ex. 3 kids in VUSD means filling it out 3 times). Students in the 4th, 7th, & 10th grades are also taking the student versions and it would be great to have their parents’ feedback as well (amidst ALL parent feedback.) Help us continue our best practices and improve where we can by being honest. Click the link below to fill out a survey now. (For a paper copy, please see your school’s office or Community Liaison.) VUSD Support for Safe Routes to School 2025
VUSD and the City of Vista are collaborating to submit a Safe Routes to School application for the new VIDA location. The Superintendent's Office will be working closely with the City of Vista and state officials as we move forward.
North County Transit is going the extra mile to offer a new transportation choice in Vista.
NCTD+ provides shared rides within a service zone. The service is available to all riders and uses ADA accessible vans that can seat up to eight passengers. How it works is that students download the app or call the number listed and if they're within the designated zone, they'll be picked/dropped off to the pre-designated destination (within the designated zone) or to the closest city bus stop or station. It's free to all youth 18 and under and all they need is either a PRONTO Card (also available for free), or their current Student ID or Government Issued ID.
Friendly Reminder: Cell Phone and Technology Policy
In order to align with VUSD guidelines, middle schools have updated their cell phone policy. Please review VIDA's policy above.

VIDA Relocation Update
The construction and redesign of our new VIDA location is continuing on schedule! We have new asphalt going into the field area and the gym is almost ready to go for our Sharks! The Design Hub is being prepared for our Maker Space and the Black Box Theater floor is being installed.
We are excited to move to our beautiful new home!
We need Snack Shack Volunteers!
Please help us support the Snack Shack program through the remainder of the year! Even one hour a month makes a HUGE difference in the success of the program. It's a great way to get on campus, interact with our students, and get a peek at what lunchtime at VIDA looks like! Please sign up for a shift by visiting our Sign Up page.
