We had fun at FDES on Book Character Dress Up Day. The smiles on the students' faces were priceless! Our next big event is just around the corner with our Thankful Candlelight Lunch Days. Please review the information below very carefully so you will know the day and time for your student's lunch.

Red, White & Blue Day to Honor Veterans!
Kindergarten students went outside to make observations about the weather.
They used their Weather Journals to document their findings. Way to go!

FDES Spelling Bee for 4th and 5th Grade Students
Spelling Bee: We will have two levels for our Spelling Bee. The first level is the Classroom Spelling Bee. Classroom spelling bees will be held Friday, December 1st. The top 2 students from the Classroom Spelling Bees will move to the next level, the School-wide Level Spelling Bee The School-wide Spelling Bee will be held on Friday, December 8th, so, start studying now. Each student will receive a list to practice and the list will also be available on our school's eClass Landing Page
Bus Evacuation Practice Day was a Success!
Our students learning to evacuate a bus safely in the event of an emergency!

November Reading Challenge - Grateful Reading
What: November Reading Challenge called Grateful Reading
When: November 1-30
How:
Students in Pre-K - 2 will earn a "Game Time in the Media Center" if they turn in three reading logs during the month of November.
Students in grades 3-5 will earn a "Eat and Play" during their lunch time to bring their lunch to the Media Center and play Blooket if they read and log 300 minutes during the month of November. They also earn digital badges for every 30 minutes.
Why: To encourage and motivate our students to read more!
