It brings me so much joy to welcome you back to the start of a brand new school year! This monthly family newsletter should be your consistent source of connection during this new school year.

I am elated to share that the first three days of the school year unfolded seamlessly! Your participation in the 'first two days' survey and all the insights you have shared thus far about your child(ren)'s experiences are greatly appreciated.

Allow me to introduce you to the new office team, Miss Donna, Miss Karen and Miss Nicole (in the photo), and my new school theme for the 2023-24 school year, "Groovy School!" This theme promises to infuse our learning environment with creativity and positivity!

In light of our ongoing growth, I'd like to shed light on our enrollment status at BRMES. This year, we welcomed 22 new students to BRMES, spanning grades 1 through 5.

All school doors to the school remain locked during classroom learning hours.

All visitors and pre-scheduled volunteers must be identified at the doors and scan your drivers license for admittance.

We continue to practice the below four emergency protocols from the Idaho Standard Command Responses for Schools (ISCRS) on a regular basis.

You are encouraged to pay for your child's breakfast or lunch through My School Bucks.com. Call our office if you need your child's Student ID number. You can even set it to notify you when your child's account balance is low. A check written to MDSD Food Service can also be accepted if your child can deliver it to the office or cafeteria.

Please consider completing a free/reduced application as well. Fill out and print an application in English or Spanish here (under forms) or stop by the office to pick up an application.

Lunch Elementary: $3.00

Lunch Secondary: $3.50

Adult Breakfast: $2.65

Adult Lunch: $4.70

I am passionate about recruiting parents to join our amazing team here at BRMES! There are so many options. Here are some current openings that involve the school:

• Harlow's Bus Route Drivers (call Harlow's or go online to inquire/apply).
• Special Education Paraprofessional (full time)
• Substitutes (you choose your days, position (classroom, paraprofessional or cafeteria) and all are on student days only)
• District Physical Therapist (part time)
• Multilingual Parprofessional (part time)

Apply online or call our office for more information! These are all great jobs for any stay at home parents/grandparent looking for work that allows you to work school days only.

Students will be walking laps at Sabala Field on the Payette Lakes Middle School grounds on Wednesday, September 27. This is our one and only fundraiser for our PTA. Students will have 30 minutes to walk or run laps and earn a bracelet for each lap he/she completes. Students ask for donations from family or close friends to encourage them to run/walk many laps within their 30 minute time block. We are excited to see what our kids can do! Our BRMES families are invited to come watch or to volunteer. Here is the volunteer sign up and grade level times.

10:15-10:45: 1st Grade

10:45-11:15: 5th Grade

11:25-11:55: 2nd Grade

12:10-12:40: Kindergarten

12:40-1:10: 4th Grade

1:10-1:40: 3rd Grade

Pledge/donation packet information will be coming home with students soon.

We are so excited to have our swag store again this year! Didn't you just love having access to BRMES gear? We will again have BRMES t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats!
