Does Your Child Know the Difference?
We are increasingly learning of students having a growing interest in marijuana, particularly as THC-infused products/edibles are growing in popularity.
And now, illicit suppliers have begun co-opting legitimate brand names and identities to sell candy, snacks, and cereal laced with THC. Some students unknowingly partake of these items.
Please be on the lookout for the pictured items below.
Field Day is Here Again! Volunteers are Needed
We are thrilled to be able to hold our annual Field Day this year on Wednesday, June 7th!
In celebration of all of their hard work, our sixth and seventh grade students will spend the day building community, showcasing their athletic talents, and reaffirming what it means to be a Leonardtown Jaguar. Eighth grade students will be spending the day at a picnic at Point Lookout State Park. LMS Jaguars have proven themselves to be P.A.W.S.-itively phenomenal this year. They are Positive and Polite, Accept Responsibility, Work Hard, and put Safety First.
We are looking for volunteers for Field Day this year! Please note that to volunteer at one of the Field Day stations, you must be a registered volunteer through St. Mary’s County Public Schools. Please see this link if you are interested in becoming an SMCPS volunteer.
Laptops and Chargers
As we approach the end of the school year, it is a good time to remind students and families about their accountability for laptops and chargers.
