Let's put the Found in Lost & Found!
Family Share and Connection
Hello Sato community! With the winter season and breaks fast approaching, we wanted to let all of our Sato community know about opportunities to support students and families. We are sharing this initial information about each support opportunity so that you can plan accordingly if you’d like to participate. More information on how to donate for each will be coming soon.
Sato Community Winter Support
This year we will have an opportunity for families to donate directly to our own Sato community support program. This will be support going directly back to those in our Sato community. Donations can be in the form of gift cards to locations such as QFC, Fred Meyer, or Target where families can provide for various needs. As we know, support needs arise throughout the year beyond just this winter season. In the event we have more gift card support than current needs, we will use extra gift cards to provide support later in the year as requests arise. More information to come for how to donate to the Sato community support program.
Student Council Fund Drive
Our student council team will be organizing a “fund” drive for our Sato community to help support our larger community. We collaborate with the Oregon Food Bank which supports families throughout our larger community. Look for more information to come on how to contribute.
BSD Community Resource Fund
The Beaverton School District also has a community resource fund which helps provide resources for students and families throughout the district. More information to come about how to support the BSD Community Resource Fund.
Is your family in need of support this holiday season?
If you are a family who is in need please fill out this confidential survey so that way the school can do its best to get you resources.

November is Native American/Alaska Native Heritage Month-Repeat
Did you know that November is Native American/Alaska Native Heritage Month? It is an opportunity to celebrate the culture, history and contributions of Native Peoples.
"What started at the turn of the century as an effort to gain a day of recognition for the significant contributions the first Americans made to the establishment and growth of the U.S., has resulted in a whole month being designated for that purpose."
We're honoring the diverse heritage and culture of the Native American community all month. We encourage everyone to learn about tribal lands, customs and cultures.
When should I keep my child home from school? -Repeat
We would like to remind you about our guidelines for determining whether or not your student should come to school if they are ill.
If your student shows primary symptoms of COVID 19, we ask you to keep your child home and contact your health care provider to get a COVID test. You may also find THIS website helpful for covid testing locations. Primary symptoms of covid are defined as fever, cough, chills, loss of taste or smell and/or shortness of breath.
- If the covid test is positive, please notify the school and quarantine your child at home for 10 days or as directed by Washington County Public Health.
- If the test is negative, please follow the Keep Ill Children Out of School guidelines
- If you do not want to test your student for covid and they are showing primary symptoms, they should quarantine at home for 10 days.
- If your child has any other communicable disease symptoms, please follow the Keep Ill Children Out of School guidelines.
If you have a child who has a diagnosed chronic health condition that may present as primary symptoms of covid, such as asthma or another lung condition and the school is unaware of this condition, please contact our school nurse, Sydney Garl at sydney_garl@beaverton.k12.or.us or via parent square. She may need to implement a school health management plan to help prevent your child from being inappropriately sent home from school.
Please notify the office if your child will be out sick. We appreciate your help keeping our school community safe. Remember to use the attendance link on our main webpage
