From the Principal
- This week we had our 3rd schoolwide town hall, where we launced our theme of self - management. Our students did an amazing job following our Mustang way during our 20 minutes together as an entire school.
- Fall Fest is tonight from 6:00 - 8:00 at Munhall. I hope you can make it!
Chess club is back! Signup begins November 1. Club will start on December 1 and meet every Friday for 10 weeks. Space is limited to 8 per grade, 2nd to 5th. Go to the PTO toolkit website to sign up!
- In case you missed it: Halloween 2023 - Munhall. Our parade will begin at 1:30. Please see information regarding the parade. Munhall Halloween Parade. I ask that you please stand on the outside of the cones. Thank you!
- Report cards will be available via the home access center on Tuesday, November 21st @ 8:00 am.
- Our students did a great job today during our bus evacuation drill.
- The book fair begins today! Our LRC team does a great job with this. It will be open until Wednesday. If you plan to come Wednesday, please reach out with any questions.
- FULL SWING. The theme for this week is: FULL S.T.E.A.M. AHEAD. Ideas include are art kits, science kits, technology, engineering kits and Math kits

Laura Egasti for her patience and perseverance in making sure her students always have all the tools they need at any given moment and her willingness to closely partner with families for well rounded consistency.
Amber Keegan and Amanda O'Brien for always seeing the kids where they are at in the moment AND where they have the potential to go and then pushing them gently to reach their fullest potential.
Adilynn Aguirre in 1-Wallen. Adilynn has helped her peers smile when having a bad day. She has helped a teacher with sharpening pencils and she has just gone above and beyond demonstrating the mustang way!!!

Registration for Chess Club begins November 1 and will close on November 17. A tournament may be scheduled in March to conclude the club.

At this time the prepaid ordering is closed for Munhall Elementary School. As the prepaid picture package orders have been entered and are currently in the printing process. Unfortunately, once the the printing process begins, additional orders can not be added.
Please let the parent(s) know; When the prepaid picture packages are delivered to the school (approximately 3½ - 4 weeks after picture day), their student(s) will receive a '2nd Chance' card that will have the following information printed on it:
- A preview of their picture
- Their unique ticket code
- The website you will visit to place an order (https://orders.colorportraits.com/login.php)
The ticket code(s) will give you access to view and order your child(ren)'s pictures online by visiting the website listed above.

Phones/Smart Watches
From 22-23 Elementary Handbook: Students are extended the privilege of possessing phones/ smartwatches on school grounds; however, their use is limited to after-school dismissal and non-school days. These devices must be in the off position, or not used once the student arrives on campus until the end of the school day.
