Aeries to Canvas Grade Passback: Tips
So you're using Canvas and have graded all of your student work quickly using Speedgrader -- have you also set up your course(s) to sync grades directly to Aeries and save you time? If not, here are some quick tips to get you started:
- Crosslist any courses that are the same (for example all of your 8th grade English classes) at the beginning of the semester to reduce the number of courses that you need to update. (How to Crosslist: Secondary & Elementary)
- Set up your categories in Aeries and Canvas so they match exactly (uppercase/lowercase and spacing all matter)
- Don't link your gradebooks in Aeries or you will have issues with grades syncing
- Don't add students to your Canvas courses manually. If they aren't being added, put in a ticket
- Use the Grade Sync Details Page if you have errors
- Hide overall grades in Canvas and direct students and caregivers to Aeries for grades.

DEVICE CHECKOUT
If you are a new teacher in need of a device, please submit a Help Desk ticket (gopusd.com/helpdesk) so we can verify device eligibility and to make an appointment. All requests must be made from your PUSD account through the ticket system.
QR CODES
QR codes have been updated for TK-2nd grade students, as well as 3rd-12th grade students in Special Education. QR Codes can be found in the PUSD Curriculum Shared Drive in the Elementary folder (TK-5) or in the Special Education folder (6-12). We are working to return access to TK-2 teachers in ARMS so they can print out their own QR codes and thank you for your patience.
CHROMEBOOK DEACTIVATION
The Dell Chromebook 3120's have reached their end of life. In the process of doing the computer inventory, we discovered that there are quite a few of these still in circulation. We will be deactivating these devices on 9/2/2022.
If you or any of your students are still using a 3120, please turn it in immediately. If you need a replacement Chromebook, please put in a ticket.
