Marysville Mesage
October 27th, 2023
Dear Marysville Families,
Thank you again for your consideration and patience as we once again navigate uncertain times. I am so grateful to the Marysville for centering student celebration.
We had so much fun with our cozy pajama day and are really looking forward to the Fall Harvest Festival on Tuesday.
A special, huge thank you to all of the wonderful parents that helped to pick up all of the pumpkins and harvest items for our special day. Also, to all of the parent volunteers working hard to prepare and support this special event.

We are hopeful that the ongoing mediation between the Portland Association of Teachers and the Portland School District will result in agreement prior to Wednesday.
If that does not happen, all PPS schools will be closed beginning Wednesday, November 1st.
The Family Resource Guide linked below has detailed information.
I will provide more information on Monday and Tuesday of next week if there is still a possibility of a strike.
We will send student quick cards home with all K-5 students on Tuesday, so that they can access online resources if necessary.
Students can access online PPS resources from any device with internet.
All students and families have the ability to call the Support Desk at 503.916.3375 or send an email to support@pps.net. Should there be a need to replace a device for a student, an appointment will need to be made to allow them to enter the PEC building. Students are also allowed to work directly with their school to exchange a device or charger should that be a need.
I know that the district sent a survey to al PreK - 2 students about requesting Chromebooks. We do not actually have chromebooks available for the PreK classrooms. I apologize for the confusion and we only have enough chromebooks for the families that requested one.
