OCTOBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH
Congratulations to Tyler Dumler and Thomas Strickland on being selected as the October Students of the Month!
Tyler Dumler
Tyler currently plays the trumpet for the second year in a row in the ETMS band. This also marks year two on being on the ETMS Bison Bots Robotics Team. Tyler was the Stage Manager this year in the school musical Cinderella and was part of the musical tech crew his 7th grade year. Tyler is part of the Bison Buddies program and received the Respect Award for the month of September. He was on the Principal's Honor Roll his entire 7th grade year. Outside of school, he is involved in a bowling league and is a member of Trail Life, where he received the Walk Worthy Life Award. Tyler is dependable, responsible, and always ready to lend a helping hand.
Thomas Strickland
Thomas enjoyed being the King in the school production of Cinderella this year. He was also selected to be in the AVID college prep program. Thomas participated on the ETMS football team this year and basketball team last year. He has been on the Principal’s Honor Roll his 7th grade year. One of his greatest experiences was traveling with ETMS students to our nation’s capitol in Washington, DC this past June. He is passionate about his church activities and singing on the Embark Praise Team. Thomas volunteers and supports those in need by working with the Heart-to-Heart and the Coldwater non-profit organizations. His dream is to become a criminal defense attorney.

BISON FAN DAY!
Our next Bison Fan Day will be on Thursday, November 30th for the ETMS Girls Basketball game.

If you want to attend the basketball game after your practice, same expectations are followed to be with an adult for the event.

RECOGNITIONS & CELEBRATIONS
ETMS ART STUDENTS PAINT DOWNTOWN LEE'S SUMMIT STORES
Fourteen ETMS students joined over 70 LSR7 student artists to paint the windows of small businesses in downtown Lee's Summit. Students submitted designs based on specific business criteria and were chosen to create murals for this client-connected project that offered a real world experience for students and encouraged holiday shopping at local businesses.
This is the second year ETMS has participated in this project. The response from the community has been outstanding and we look forward to continuing to support small businesses and create art opportunities for our students. We encourage everyone to check out the amazing art students have created!
Here is the Channel 9 news link to see some of the creative windows our ETMS students created.
UCM Theatre Workshop
Bison Theatre students had the opportunity to build their craft at the University of Central Missouri theatre workshop on November 16. They attended a variety of sessions in the morning from selections such as improvisation, technical theatre, audition prep, costume design, debate, and script writing.
For lunch, they had the college dining hall experience followed by a campus tour, and they enjoyed watching UCM’s production of the show they just put on this fall, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and concluded the day with a talkback session with the cast and crew.
