Important Dates

As the temperatures begin to drop D25 will begin transitioning our schools from A/C to heat. Please send your child to school with an extra layer or two so they stay warm both inside and out! We also encourage you to label your child's clothing so that it can be returned when it ends up in the lost and found.

Each year as part of our emergency procedures we practice what to do in the event of a hard lockdown. This year our drill will be in the afternoon on Friday, October 14th. The AHPD will be on-site to practice with us.

Just prior to the drill, we will announce over the intercom that this is a practice drill and the pre-recorded lockdown announcement will be played. At the end of the drill, an administrator or police officer will unlock each door to let the students and teachers know they did a great job and that the drill is complete.

Parent teacher conference sign-ups will open next Tuesday, Oct. 11th at 10:00 am. An email with directions and a link will be sent to your email address on file.

A test email will be sent on Monday, Oct. 10th at 10:00 am. If you do not receive the test email, please check your spam/junk folder to ensure your settings are correct.

Celebrate Walk to School Day with "Olive-Us" on Wednesday, OCTOBER 12, 2022.

A phone and email blast will be sent out by 7:30 am, should we have to reschedule due to the weather. Our rain date has been set for Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Walk-to-School Routes and starting times:

WEST OF ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD

Route 1 - Start at Euclid and Dunton at 8:35

North on Dunton to Olive St.

East on Olive St. to OMS

Route 2 - Start at Olive and Walnut at 8:40

Walk east to OMS

EAST OF ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD

Route 3 - Start at Maude and Belmont at 8:35

Walk south on Belmont to OMS

Route 4 - Start at Wilshire and Oakton at 8:35

Walk west on Oakton

North on Belmont to OMS

Route 5 - Start at Douglas and Euclid at 8:35

Head north on Douglas to Olive

West on Olive to OMS

In our last Branch we shared the wrong date for picture retakes.
