Library Lunch Bunch

I am hosting a daily lunch bunch on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 12-12:30. Students can join during their lunch to enjoy a read aloud and talk with peers. Students can join here- https://bit.ly/ChatwithMsJ.

Sora Ebooks

Several classes have been introduced to our new ebook platform, Sora. Students and staff have access to ebooks and audiobooks through Clever. If you're just getting started, search for Syracuse City School District and begin exploring. Book Checkout

Students are loving the "librarian special" and getting to read books from the library. I've pushed into a few classrooms this past month to deliver library books to classrooms. Students have completed a form with their interests. Once available, I drop them off in the classroom.

Thanksgiving Activity

I've been able to push-in to 4th grade meetings on Teams. We recently read How to Catch a Turkey. We talked about the story and then students worked on a design challenge in Nearpod to create a trap to catch the turkey. Students were creative with their ideas and began practicing the Nearpod interactive tools.
