Gallatin High Update
Week of January 15-20, 2024
Host Families Needed for Two Week Okinawa Exchange
Are you interested in cultural exchange? Gallatin High's sister school in Okinawa, Japan, is sending twelve students and two teachers on a two-week exchange program (Feb 25 - March 6) and we are in need of host families! If you or anyone you know is interested, please view this document and complete the interest form linked there.
Congrats to the GHS Swim Team for their work as MHSA's AA Team of the month!
Here's why our swimmers are so great!
This month the Gallatin High School Swim Team has not only showed up in the pool but in our community as well showing that they are fast swimmers but even better people. We have attended 3 swim meets this season and our boys finished strong the weekend of December 15th and December 16th where they finished 2nd place, as a team on the 15th, and took home 1st place in the Annual Great Falls Relay Meet on December 16th - a Swim Meet that exemplifies teamwork because it is made up entirely of relays (team events). Our Gallatin High Girls Team has finished in 2nd place in each meet due to their perseverance and hard work.
Furthermore, this month our Gallatin Swimmers volunteered with a local charity, Kind Kids Give, to shop for local children in the community who are in need this Holiday Season. Together they shopped for 10 children and then wrapped each of their presents to be delivered to the kids through their local schools. For the month of December we humbly request the consideration of the Gallatin High Swim Team based on performance, dedication in the classroom, and service to the community to be named the Montana High School Association Team of the Month Presented by Les Schwab Tires.
