FMS FIRST WEEK REMINDERS
August 28th, 2023
TRANSPORTATION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
BUS TRANSPORTATION
We are lucky to be fully staffed with wonderful bus drivers at FMS this year. We appreciate your flexibility as we work to ensure that no bus is overcrowded and that routes are equitable and efficient.
During the first week of school:
- Students may be picked up or dropped off at various times.
- Students need to be out there early and be patient waiting for the bus to arrive. Figure on being out earlier than your pick-up time and waiting until 8am. If it's 8am and still no pick-up please call the school at 919-494-2971.
- Please be patient, we will quickly establish regular times. If there are any permanent changes for your child you will be notified.
CAR RIDERS
- Please drop-off and pick-up at the Baptist Church (white church on Cheatham and Mason) parking lot across from 9 Cheatham Street.
- Drop-off or pick-up anywhere else can result in a ticket from the Franklinton Police Department - they are concerned with student safety and vehicle safety.
- The school opens its doors at 8am - students will not be allowed to enter the school before 8am. Please plan to drop-off between 8am and 8:25am.
- Pick-up begins at 3:15pm and ends at 3:30pm, and is in the same church parking lot on Cheatham Street. Please make sure you are there during those times.
- Students will be released by grade level. Please be patient while waiting.
WALKERS
- The school opens its doors at 8am - students will not be allowed to enter the school before 8am. Please have your child leave with the plan to arrive at the school between 8am and 8:25am.

MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD BRINGS:
