👑 8th Grade Renaissance Faire ⚔️
The 8th grade team journeyed back in time last week, with a memorable trip to the PA Renaissance Faire. The weather was absolutely perfect for a full day of adventure, costumes, Mudskippers, merry events, fireworks, and even a few turkey legs.
❤️ Red Ribbon Week ❤️
Red Ribbon Week runs from October 23 through October 31. The 2023 national Red Ribbon Week theme is "Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug-Free.” This week marks the occasion when schools across the country focus their attention on drug use and prevention among school-aged children. National Red Ribbon Week began in 1988 with a Congressional Proclamation. This week is dedicated to Federal Drug Enforcement agent Enrique Camerena who was killed by a drug trafficker in 1985. National Red Ribbon Week has become a symbol for a drug-free society.
Red Ribbon Week is celebrated by over 100,000 schools and organizations nationwide. Each day an announcement will be made reminding us of Fugett Middle School’s commitment to be drug-free. Part of the announcement will include a statistic or fact regarding drug or alcohol use.
Fugett will have special Red Ribbon Week themes each day. The Red Ribbon Week committee encourages all the students and staff to dress in the theme of the day.
👨🔬 Dive Into Science 👩🔬
Our 8th grade scientists had the opportunity to get up close and personal with some huge fossils and sponges. As you can see, the students had a blast with this hands on activity last week.
📣 CARE CLUB Catalog📣
Our CARE CLUB Catalog is officially published and student's will have the opportunity to sign up for clubs on Tuesday. A separate email will go out Tuesday with instruction on how to sign up for clubs from home.
We are thrilled to offer these clubs to students during our Care Period on Thursday mornings. A special thank you to Dr. Brown-Mitchell and Mrs. Mizak for their work on this catalog and clubs logistics. An additional thank you to all of the staff members who are voluntarily sponsoring these clubs. We cannot wait to get these clubs going, and some of the year-long clubs have already started initial meetings.

In addition, we are collecting donations for food and candy for the event. Please also check out that SUG here: https://fugettmspto.membershiptoolkit.com/Volunteer
