Who doesn't love a good prank?!
It's April! And if you are reading this on April 1st, you may have already been fooled! According to a study from Harvard's Neuroscience institute, "the contagious nature of humor builds a sense of community." Research also has shown that humor can be an effective intervention to improve students' retention from grades K-12. So don't be mad with the list of pranks I gave your children to try out at home! Happy April!
3..2..1..Blast Off at Genet
Students in Mrs. Petraznik's class were able to research, observe and investigate at their command center. Curiosity at this level is so important as it leads to questions that spark important exploration in learning. In this station students had the opportunity to explore STEM concepts and utilize steps of the scientific method, without even realizing it!
Moon Rock Exploration
At this station the students were able to use a magnifying glass, ruler, and other tools to research "moon rock!"
Space Observation Check List
Through imaginative play and their command center the students conversed and looked for certain items. They had a check list where they could note their findings!
