As an integrated, thematic magnet program offered to gifted and high-ability learners, The D11 GMP provides full-time academic challenges and opportunities in a setting that supports gifted learners' diverse interests and needs. Highly motivated gifted students in 3rd- 8th grade, who are academically capable, and demonstrate a love of learning can thrive in this unique environment.

Elementary and Middle School GMP Locations
The District 11 Gifted Magnet Program fosters academic talent and provides social-emotional support in an immersive program housed at two elementary and two middle schools throughout the district.
In addition to gifted programming at quality neighborhood schools, we are moving two GMPs to two new schools for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The Gifted Magnet Program will now be hosted by:
- Stratton Elementary
- Freedom Elementary
- Holmes Middle School
- Sabin Middle School
The GMP provides 3rd through 8th-grade students with gifted programming in all four core academic areas.

Rising 4-8 graders GMP Applications are due February 15
Rising 3 graders’ GMP Applications are due April 15
Applications are accepted in the spring semester for admission the following year.
Applications reviewed after the deadlines will be reviewed on a space-available basis.
