Please be advised that the United States Department of Agriculture has determined that the national free and reduced school breakfast and lunch program will revert back to a needs-based qualification as of July 1, 2022.
What this means is that school breakfast and lunch will no longer be universally free to all students in the new school year beginning in August 2022.
In order to qualify for free and reduced breakfast and lunch in the new school year, you MUST do one of two things:
After July 1, 2022, and before school starts on August 29, 2022, you must fill out the 2022-2023 school year application form.
This can be done electronically in MySchool Apps after July 15, 2022, by going to the district website (www.attleboroschools.com) and under “Central Office” go-to “Business Office” and then “Food Service”. The menu on the left side of the age has the option “MySchool Apps”. This should be done before school begins in the fall.
Or you can print the form from the district website after July 1, 2022, and return the paper form to your school before school begins. To get to the paper application, you navigate as above and there is a “School Lunch Application” option on the menu on the left.
