This message is being sent to parents and guardians with students who attend Brookside Elementary, Franklin Elementary, Lincoln Elementary School for the Arts, Ramsey Elementary, and Wilson Elementary.
Anoka-Hennepin Schools is coordinating a process for public review and input into draft boundary adjustment proposals, which would be approved by the school board in November and put in place for the 2023-24 school year.
Changes are proposed primarily at the elementary level, but also at the middle school level in the Blaine area. There are no other middle school or any high school attendance boundary changes being proposed. Draft proposals and feedback will be presented at the Sept. 26 school board meeting.
The School Board is seeking feedback prior to decision making. Attend a community meeting on Tues., Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. at Anoka High School to review draft proposals, discuss considerations with school and district leaders, and provide feedback for school board consideration as new boundaries are finalized. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. with a brief presentation, which will also be streamed live at ahschools.us.
IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE: This meeting date has been changed from a previously announced date of Sept. 15 due to a scheduling conflict.
Questions can be emailed to boundaries@ahschools.us.
