Lincolnshire Elementary
August, 2021-2022
Message from Mr. Hade and Ms. Mayonado
Lincolnshire Schedule:
- Doors open at 7:55 am
- Student day begins at 8:20 am
- Dismissal starts at 2:55 pm
As we begin our school year, one of the essential items for parents is to check and ensure that all contact information is updated. Would you mind updating your parent contact information in ParentVue or by calling Lincolnshire at 301.766.8206? Updating your contact information is very important in case of an emergency. We also send out text messages and emails throughout the school year, and without the correct phone number or email address, you will not receive our updates.
Make sure you LIKE us on Facebook. We are currently communicating regularly with school information.
We cannot wait to see everyone on Monday, August 30, 2021.
COVID-19 Masks
Back to School Night
Lincolnshire Elementary will be offering the following:
- Virtual Back to School Night, a link will be sent on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, to all families to participate.
- In-person Back to School Night: PreK, Kindergarten, 3rd Grade, and 5th Grade, Wednesday, August 25, 2021, 6:00-7:00 pm.
- In-person Back to School Night: 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade, Thursday, August 26, 2021, 6:00-7:00 pm.
*Please note, our Back to School dates and times are all subject to change.
Lincolnshire School Supplies
Lincolnshire Elementary parents do not need to purchase school supplies. We are a Title I school that receives additional money from the Federal Government to buy school supplies for all of our students.
We have found in the past, students enjoy purchasing a backpack for back to school. If your child needs a backpack, call our Title I Family Liason, Kelly Whiteman, or our Community School Guidance Counselor, Kirksten Mitchell, at 301-766-8210. We will make sure that your child receives a backpack before the start of school on Monday, August 30, 2021.
Transportation
First Day of School
Doors open at 7:55 am, and dismissal will begin at 2:55 pm. If your child is riding a school bus, please have them ride the bus to and from school on the first day. Having your child ride the bus will avoid confusion at the end of the day for dismissal.
If your child is a car rider, please know that the first week takes longer than usual. We are asking that you please be patient with all staff members. Our regular car rider dismissal time is around 15-minutes, dismissing over 100 students to cars.
***Very Important***
Please remember, you are in a residential neighborhood and we ask that you drive the speed limit and never use cell phones while driving. This is for the safety of students walking and/or the families in our neighborhood.
School Bus Masks
Important Note: Car Riders
Lincolnshire Elementary will continue with our Car Rider Tag system this school year. The purpose is to improve the safety and efficiency of our dismissal process. Car Rider Tags are for families that pick up their children daily. Our goal is for all car riders to have their Car Rider Tag by Tuesday, September 7, 2021. On Tuesday, September 7, 2021, children will only be released to a car if there is a Car Rider Tag, those without will need to park and sign their child out at the main office. Car Rider Tags will be available by completing the Car Rider Tag Form by clicking on THIS LINK. We encourage parents to take a photo of the Car Rider Tags so they will have it with them at all times.
For the safety of all students, families that occasionally pick up their child should send a note to the classroom teacher in the morning. Parents will be required to come into the main school lobby and sign out their child if they are not daily car riders.
Free Breakfast and Lunch

Class Assignments and Bus Routes
As soon as bus route information is finalized, we will post it on the school's main door, Facebook, and send the information through text and email to all Lincolnshire parents.
Message from Nurse Hope
A change of clothes is recommended for PreK and Kindergarten students to start the school year. Please put a change of clothes in their backpack daily.
Birthdays and Special Occasions
Student Birthdays - Due to the high volume that would occur on a regular basis, student birthday parties will not be permitted within the school environment. Please refrain from sending any form of food items and/or treats with your child to school on the day of their birthday.
Holidays - Holidays are special occasions worthy of recognition. If/when holiday celebrations occur, specific details and expectations will be communicated by your child's classroom teacher in a timely manner according to school guidelines.
