1. We had amazing support for McTeacher Night at McDonald's this week! Thank you!!!

2. Fall temperatures are upon us, please plan accordingly as we will go outside for recess every day!

Did you know that Willowdale has a website? Our Librarian, Mrs. Kalkowski, keeps the website updated with event dates and announcements, Facebook and Twitter posts. She also keeps an updated lunch menu as well as the calendar of events/clubs and days off. Check out our website today!

Student Council is holding a Coin War Fundraiser for the United Way

Millard Public Schools Foundation Jingle Event

You won’t want to miss the exclusive holiday event of the year, while also supporting YOUR school! Jingle is an evening filled with holiday experiences, cocktails, delicious food bites, and an amazing silent auction of 36 unique trees decorated by our schools.

The Millard Public Schools Foundation supports the district by providing funds to all 35 schools to support strategic initiatives, connects Millard graduating seniors with over $150,000 in scholarship funding and helps our own Millard families in need.

Top 5 things you can do THIS WEEK to support Willowdale:

#1: SAY THANKS! If you see one of the MANY amazing volunteers who helped to make Harvest Fest a success, thank them! Due to their support and the support of all of the MANY Willowdale families that came out, we raised almost $1600 for the school! And an extra special thanks to Erik Hoffman, Brittany Holberheinrich, and Josh Brown for taking the lead and supporting our event! YOU ALL ARE AMAZING!

#2: MARK YOUR CALENDAR! Our next Willowdale "Slice of the Pie" night is October 12! Take a night off from making dinner and support Willowdale!

#3: The Willowdale book fair starts soon! Another BIG THANKS to all of the volunteers who signed up to help Mrs. K make it a success! Be sure to stop by the book fair to buy some great books and support the school!

#4: THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who signed up to help with Parent/Teacher conference meals and a special shout out to Kelli White for leading the effort!

#5: MARK YOUR CALENDAR! The next PTO meeting is October 17 from 530pm-630pm in the Willowdale library.

Picture Retake Day!

If you want your child's picture taken again, please have the student bring the first photo packet back and hand into the photographer on Re-Take day. Picture packets are coming home in Friday folders this week.

If you missed the first picture day, this is the make-up day for all pictures. You can send those order forms with your student to turn into the photographers on this day.

Veteran's Day Photos

You can start sending me your photos of the Veterans you would like to Honor. If you had submitted a photo for Willowdale's Veteran's Day program last year, I still have the photo and will use it in this year's program. If you are not sure, you can always reach out to me at tlhartley@mpsomaha.org

These are the Partners 4 Education at Willowdale. We appreciate their partnership and commitment to the Willowdale community.
