SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL
Parents,
we are in need of one maybe two parents to join the School Site Council. The SSC is a very important committee as the members of the committee work closely with the school staff to develop the school budget, create plans to support English Language Learners, Foster Youth and students who generate Title I funding. If you are interested in joining, please complete the SSC Interest Form.

FIRE & EMERGENCY DRILLS
Families,
please note, every month we will have one or two fire/emergency drills. The goal is to practice what to do in the event of an emergency or fire. Most drills will be pre announced to staff as to prepare students accordingly. However, most drills will not be announced. We had our first drill last Thursday, and I am happy to report, that for the most part, things went well. As a staff we will continue to improve strategies to keep all safe and how to move to a safe location quickly.
If there is an actual emergency, after ensure all are safe, we will move as quickly as possible to contact parents. Please remember there are specific protocol we must follow, and emergency response agencies will be contact prior to providing information to parents. You might be asking, what should parents do in the event of an emergency. The practices are similar to what would be done if you are home during an emergency.
First, remain calm
Second, allow the officials to respond to the emergency
Ensure school has your correct contact information
