Richardson Elementary

This week's newsletter is filled with photos from another busy week at Richardson. Last week, we invited 2nd grade and 4th grade families join into classroom activities. Kids (and staff too) had a blast on "Dress up as your favorite storybook character" Day and lining our hallways during our "Reading Train". For our "Reading Train", all students in the school read together in the hallways as a school community for 15 minutes.

Looking ahead to the next two weeks, we are excited to see our families again at our spring parent-teacher conferences (information listed below for both conferences and the hours our Book Fair will be open during conferences).

Ms. Rappe's class had a visit this week from Mistura Tiamiyu - MN's Distinguished Young Woman for 2024! (Mistura was a former student of Ms. Rappe).

This year during spring conferences, the Kindness Club is hosting an art supply drive for the Children's Hospital in St. Paul! The Kindness Club is a group of 5th graders that meet twice per month to spread kindness around our school and our community. Participation in the art supply drive is 100% optional. Examples of items that we will be collecting include any new crayons, markers, colored pencils, construction paper, painting supplies, and more. If you would like to participate, you can drop off any donations in the main office during conferences. Thanks so much!
