1st, 4th, and 5th- student holidays, no school

8th- Veteran's Day parade/assembly (wear red, white, and blue)

21st- 2nd Grade Readers' Theater- information to come regarding signing up to come

22nd- Innovator's Day and Turkey trot (more details to come)

25-29th- Thanksgiving Break

Reading- Read 20 minutes a day.

*Writing- Write a story about your favorite day at school. Make a grocery list. Write what you know about a topic.

*Math- Practice addition and subtraction with and without regrouping. (sample problems attached)

Spelling- NO SPELLING TEST

*Science- We've been learning about sound. Students find a device at home that vibrates, such as a buzzing kitchen or game timer or a cell phone or smartwatch and use it to explain to a family member the relationship between sound and vibrations.Students research guidelines for the safe use of headphones and earbuds. They can make a poster or other information campaign and share on Seesaw.

Reading: I can read a script with fluency.

Writing: I can write about my reading.

Math:I can read and write time to the nearest one-minute increment using analog and digital clocks

Science: I can prepare for our readers theater.

Our recess is 11-11:30 and lunch 11:30-12:00. Thank you for placing your child's forgotten lunch on the shelf outside the cafe on time.

Your child should be bringing home their red guided reading pouch as well as the communication folder daily. If they are not, please ask them to bring them home. It's important that kids are practicing spelling words and reading their guided reading books at home.
