Every 8th grade student received a Bremerton High School "B Town" t-shirt which all students and staff at Bremerton High School have as a part of the high school's "unity program." These t-shirts were funded by a generous anonymous donor.

We have broken ground on the sports complex at Mountain View Middle School!
Construction on the new school and community multi-use sports complex at Mountain View Middle School began June 5 and will continue through summer of 2024. This project is funded by the replacement capital projects levy that was approved by voters in February 2022. More information is available at BremertonSchools.org/Sports Complex.
Thank you for your patience, Mountain View Middle School neighbors!
Armed Forces Day parade
The Bremerton School District was well-represented at Bremerton's 76th annual Armed Forces Day parade in May! BSD entries included a combined Mountain View Middle School and Bremerton High School Band, MVMS "WEB" (Where Everyone Belongs) leaders, BHS Drill Team, BHS Cheerleaders, BHS NJROTC, Miss Kitsap Peninsula's Outstanding Teen Zariah Houston (a BHS junior), and incoming superintendent Dr. James Crawford!
Celebrating Juneteenth!
We had a great (albeit a bit cold and rainy!) time at the Juneteenth People's March and Freedom Festival last weekend! Thanks to all who stopped by the Bremerton School District table to say hello!
Our Beloved Community
The Bremerton School District endeavoring to create Our Beloved Community. Our Beloved Community is a learning environment where all of our scholars feel cared for - a place absent of violence, bigotry, and hate.
We believe that if school officials, students, parents, and community all work together in a collaborative and inclusive manner, that we can and will accomplish this. Last week we held our first listening circle as a part of this effort. Over the next year, we will be holding monthly listening circles where all will have the opportunity to participate and share their voice.
We hope our families and the Bremerton community will join us on this endeavor as we work together to transform our schools using restorative practices, inclusivity, love and shared humanity.
We'd like to thank all who participated in our first Beloved Community Listening Circle on June 12. The video from this first listening circle is available at BremertonSchools.org/BelovedCommunity.
Save the date: Be a part of the Back-to-School Welcome Crew
We know nobody is thinking about the first day of school right now, but we hope you'll save the date and be a part of the Back-to-School Welcome Crew! Parents, families and community members are invited to celebrate and welcome students back on the first day of school which is:
- Wednesday, August 30 (grades 1-12)
- Tuesday, September 5 (kindergarten)
We'll remind you in August!
We want to recognize all of our 2023 retirees - not only for their years of service to our District and our students, but as our friends and colleagues, who are forever a part of our legacy. We send a warm congratulations and a sincere thank you out to ALL of our retirees. You will be missed!
