Week 6 at school from our tamariki
Writing: This week we have been writing about aliens. We had to create a draft for our story and we had to make up an alien to be in our story. It had to involve where the alien lives, five features of the alien and the alien needed a name. We called ours Melanie and Lala, they live on Uranus and the Moon. So far we have completed our brainstorm and draft story and tomorrow we will publish our final product.

thank you
We would like to express our appreciation for picking up your children from school early on Wednesday. We understand that adjusting your routines and making arrangements can be challenging and we thank you for this. By attending the paid union meeting, our teachers had the opportunity to voice their concerns and exchange valuable ideas on current education needs.
Please be assured that our desired outcome from these negotiations is to be able to provide optimal teaching and learning conditions for our ākonga. For this to happen we really need the Ministry to listen to us.

TARANAKI PASIFIKA VACCINATION EVENT
Talofa lava Everyone,
I hope you are having a good week so far - as we celebrate Samoan Language week in Aotearoa.
As we enter into the winter season, it is very important that we are as safe as possible and protect ourselves and our families from preventable illness.
You will probably be aware that Covid is still a strong presence in our communities. There have also been some reported cases of measles in Auckland recently, so it is important we protect ourselves. If you are planning to travel to Auckland or even to the islands, it is critical that you are safe and do not take the risk of being a carrier. The measles outbreak that took many innocent childrens' lives in Samoa a few years ago is still a strong reminder for us to be vigilant.
So come on down to our Pasifika Vaccination Event to get FREE vaccinations. We will also be providing FREE meals and giving away FREE supermarket vouchers to every Pasifika person that gets vaccinated! Feel free to spread the word! Please see poster attached.
When: Sat 10th June 2023, 10am - 3pm
Where: St Andrews Church, 72 Liardet St, New Plymouth
Look forward to seeing you there!
Soifua,
TARANAKI VAIMOANA PASIFIKA CHARITABLE TRUST
