Bobcat Beat
Principal's Message
It was a great week to be a Bobcat! Our students enjoyed a variety of special events including Apple Day in Kindergarten, a K-2 firefighter visit, a 3rd grade visit from a local voting organization, a Phillies spirit day, and a 2nd grade field trip to Trotter Alpaca Farm.
We ended our week celebrating our final Fall fundraising total of $7,725! We raised $4,955 in online donations and $2,670 from the coin jar competition. All students in the top three classes had a chance to hit the dunk tank target and soak our staff--and even Bob the Bobcat! Thanks to our families' contributions, we have met our field trip fundraising goal to support our students' cost of field trips. A special thank you goes to PTO co-president, Heidi Mulherin, who spearheaded our Fall fundraiser and her supportive team including Michelle Kelly, Alyson Caro-Caron, Carolyn Mason, and Erin Pieseski who made our many school assemblies such a hit over the last few weeks and allowed us to celebrate together as a school community.
We hope you and your family enjoy the Fall weather this weekend.
Take care,
Dr. Southmayd

Say hello to our first ever Kindness Crew!
These fourth grade students have volunteered to spread kindness throughout our community. Their mission is to exemplify the āPā in our PAWS expectations. During their first Kindness Crew Meeting, they developed their mission statement as well as planned for their first community service project. Stay tuned to hear about their first project next month!
Kindness Crew Mission Statement: The Kindness Crew mission is to spread kindness throughout our school, community and the world. We believe that through acts of kindness, we can make a positive impact on the lives of others and build a more compassionate world.

Activity Fee
The West Chester Area School District has a tradition of offering high-quality extra-curricular programs for students. To support the costs of these programs, an Activity Fee is applied to extra-curricular programs supervised by a contracted coach, advisor, or director.
The elementary fee for students who wish to participate in activities including chorus, band, orchestra, and after school sports is $27. Most of these activities are only available to students in grades 3-5.
