Homework and Tutoring Center

The Homework and Tutoring Center will open on Monday, October 2. The program runs Monday through Thursday from student dismissal until 3:00. Students can take the 3:00 buses home. Students do not need to sign up. They can just attend whenever they need extra assistance.

Financial Aid

The Department of Education is making significant changes to the FASFA application, most of which will take effect for the 2024-2025 application. This is known as FASFA Simplification and will streamline the FASFA form.

With significant changes being made the Department of Education announced the 2024-2025 application will not be ready on October 1 as it has been in prior years. The updated FASFA form should be available in December this year.

MassHire Job Opportunities

MassHire of Lowell will be scheduling interviews every Tuesday from 9-12 in the School Counseling Department room 3165. To book an interview with MassHire use the "You Can Book Me" QR code found posted at the following locations.

STEM Careers

STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, is one of the fastest growing job fields in America. While some students at Greater Lowell are uniquely posed to go into STEM fields from a variety of shops, including Advanced Manufacturing, CADD, Electronics Technology, Engineering, Health Assisting, Information Technology, and Metal Fabrication, all students regardless of shop can go into a STEM career.

Students interested in STEM careers should reach out to their school counselor, research careers using Naviance and ONet Online, and get involved in one of our STEM clubs on campus: Environmental Club, Math Club, NABT BioClub, and Robotics Club
