Bronson Community Schools District Update
July 6, 2023
Introduction
Interim Superintendent - Kate Wall
As you know, Steve Wilson has resigned as our Superintendent (effective Wednesday, 6/21/23). I'm sure you join me in wishing Steve well in his future endeavors and thank him for the time spent in and impact on our district.
For those of you that don't know me, my career in Bronson started in the fall of 2008 when I was teaching 1st grade at Anderson Elementary (many of you may know me by my maiden name, Ms. Baumgartner). After teaching first grade for 5 years, I was the Math Interventionist at both Anderson and Ryan for 1 year before returning back to 1st grade for 3 more years. I then was the elementary principal in Mendon for 2 years before returning back to Anderson in the fall of 2019 to be its building leader. After serving as Anderson's principal for 3 years, I accepted the role of Curriculum, Instruction, and Grants Coordinator and have served in that role for the past year.
I am happy to serve our district as its Interim Superintendent and look forward to continuing to support our students, families, community, and staff. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with questions, comments, or concerns that you might have. My contact information can be found at the bottom of this newsletter.

Jr./Sr. High School HVAC Project
As you know, the district is utilizing ESSER II & III funds (supplementing with general fund dollars) to improve air quality/HVAC systems at Bronson Jr/Sr High School.
As you can imagine, the project is quite extensive and quite a bit of work has already taken place. The goal is to have HVAC units and duct work in place this summer. Due to lead times on some of the larger pieces of equipment required to increase our electrical capacity, we will likely not be able to run the new equipment until next school year.
Photos of the project's progress/equipment on-site are below:
