I heard a priest one time say that he only has one homily. This was his clever and simple of way of saying that we have 86,400 seconds in a day, what are we going to do with it? His answer was always that we are to be holy. This doesn't mean that we are on our knees praying for 24 hours a day, but it does mean that we should be striving for holiness in all that we do. So, for St. Charles Borromeo School our goal for 2023 is the same as it was for 2022, we are striving to be holy. Holiness is a means for us to be set apart for God. My hope is that our children understand and know that God desires us. Our love for him makes us holy. Its not just that simple though to say we love him, we have to show it. So the action of living our goal for 2023, is to demonstrate that we are holy by living a life of love. Pretty simple, right? Haha...Not exactly. But, there is grace in knowing that we are always under construction, that's humility. Praise the Lord. Have a blessed weekend.

1. In the breezeway coming in from the upper parking lot.
