We have had an awesome week
Our Student Leadership teams are developing their plans and setting goals to progress towards as young leaders here at IPS. There are many and varied roles, all of which assist in running our school and ensuring our children are having activities they wish to be involved in.
We continue to plan, teach and evaluate core curriculum aspects within all of the opportunities on offer. We are grateful to our fabulous staff who all contribute to the rich, local curriculum on offer.
Reporting on your child's Learning Journey
Our teaching staff are preparing for mid year reporting and also meeting with you at our Student Led Conferences.
We have changed our reporting to be in line with New Zealand Curriculum Levels together with our REACH Values and Key Competencies.
We did appreciate the feedback we received from some of you last year and have aimed to accommodate this within the new format for reporting your child's learning journey.
Please see the file attached for further information.

Notice of Road Works - SH3 Inglewood to Eltham - Sunday 16 - Wednesday 19 May 2021
Downer is responsible for maintaining State Highways in Taranaki and on behalf of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency we want to update you on further road repairs at several sites between Inglewood and Eltham on State Highway 3 (SH3) from this Sunday 16 to Wednesday 19 May.
The repairs carried out last week need additional work which will include mill and fill at the sites laying an asphalt surface.
Crew will work at night from 8pm to 6am to mill the sites and will be filled during the day between 9.30am – 2.30pm.
The approximate site locations on SH3 are:
- Norfolk Hall
- Midhirst
- Anderson Road Eltham
While the crew are working at the sites, Stop / Go traffic management will be in place with speed restrictions of 30km. Drivers may encounter uneven surfaces.
If you are driving through these road works sites please stick to temporary speed limits and drive to the conditions.
We are working to keep delays to a minimum of no more than 10 minutes.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and follow all instructions and signage in place. Alternatively consider using SH45.
Waka Kotahi thanks motorists for their patience while this work is undertaken.
Further Information
- Chip seal, bitumen and other road materials require time to fully settle after they are put in place, so please treat all new surfaces with extra care. Avoid excessive speed, sharp turns and heavy braking.
- All new roadworks is routinely monitored, in some cases, we may need to return to the site to sweep and repaint road markings or other finishing work.
Any queries regarding the traffic management or the pavement work, please phone 0800 4HIGHWAYS.
More information is available on the journey’s website for traffic and travel information.
