Thanksgiving Meals
Friendship Wesleyan Church is providing Thanksgiving meal baskets this year for families needing encouragement or support in our local area. The meal includes an uncooked turkey, boxed mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls and butter, canned vegetables, and a dessert. There is enough in each basket for a family of six. If you need a second basket, just let us know. You can pick up your basket on November 18th, from 12-3 p.m., at Friendship Wesleyan Church (1285 102nd Ave. Plainwell, MI 49080). If there is an extenuating circumstance where a basket needs to be dropped off, please reach out. If you would like to receive a meal, please email Mrs. Bender at abender@otsegops.org, or call 269-694-7826 to be added.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!
We will be talking about teamwork here at school during November. I found it so cool that at least one kiddo spoke up to say, “Teamwork makes the dream work” in each classroom lesson we had last week. This is so true! Teamwork happens when people trust each other and work together to reach a goal. You and your kiddos may participate in many different teams. We could consider work, school, sports, clubs, friends, and families as teams. Being a part of a team takes work which includes being a good teammate. You will find ways you can talk with your kiddo about being a good teammate below:
Listen to others
Give your thoughts and ideas
Work together
Encourage and celebrate each other
Learn from each other
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” -Helen Keller
Capturing Kids Hearts - CKH
What is Teamwork?
Teamwork is the ability to work in unity with others towards a common goal. For us to learn how to become team players, it is important that we learn to listen, encourage our peers, and allow and invite others to contribute their talents and skills.
