The Back to School Dinner Dance was amazing. Thanks to all the volunteers that made this event possible.
We loved seeing so many parents at our CoffeeTALK on Tuesday. It was a great turnout, and we covered lots of information!
This week our 6th grade attended Caritas Creek Camp. We look forward to hearing about all their adventures. Next week, 8th grade will enjoy a week away at Westminster Woods. There are field trips already being taken and planned. We are off to an active year!
Virtue of the Week - DOCILITY:
The willingness to be taught. This virtue helps us to listen to and to be taught by our teachers and parents. When my teachers try to help me learn a new idea, am I willing to listen to them? When my parents teach me something, do I hear them out?
DROP OFF / PICK UP
We know the water main and sink hole issues on Fillmore have created an entirely new challenge for safely performing drop off and pick up. We appreciate everyone's patience. Please note when the intersection at Fillmore and Green has completely reopened, we will resume our regular protocols.

Dear Families:
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the big event, which will take place from Monday, October 2, to Thursday, October 5 in the school lobby.
Say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.
We will also need volunteers to work as cashiers. There will be two shifts available every day.
To sign up, please visit the Book Fair Volunteer link on School Speak. If you have any questions, please contact Sue Della Cella at sdellacella@svdpsf.com.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/stvincentdepaulschool17.
The countdown to more Bookjoy is on! Catch you at the Fair!
Happy reading,
Ms. M. Pini
Principal

LOST & FOUND AND USED UNIFORMS
Water bottles, glasses, sweatshirts, retainers, knee pads, notebooks --- items that need to be reunited with their owners --- how sad.
Beginning Monday, September 25, any item found on campus (and not labeled) will be placed in the lost and found bin in the gym lobby. Feel free to stop by and search for items. On Fridays, the bin will be emptied and items discarded.
Found uniforms items will be returned to the Used Uniform areas. To the best of our ability, we will return labeled items to students.
