Welcome to a new beginning of the year and a new newsletter! It's such a good reminder in times of new changes that we are reminded and encouraged by God's face in a new life in Christ.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Just like God promises us new things and new changes in our lives, we can look forward to a new school year and a new year in Youth Ministry!

We will be continuing Connection Hour in the Youth Room on our series "Going Places" about friendship. We meet from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

September 10th: "Friends don't let differences divide them."
September 17th: "Friends aren’t afraid to talk about what they believe."

September 24th: Serve Day

ABLAZE Wednesday nights will continue from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with food, fellowship, games, a message, and small group time.

We are starting off the year with our series "Relationships" where we'll talk about friends, dating, sex, and homosexuality (how to approach this topic and people as Christians).

Come hang out and have a hang time with games, open gym, and fun times! We'll meet at September 17th from 5-6:30 p.m.

We will have a game night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on September 27th! We'll have many games to play and even a competition between small groups. Bring an appetizer to share for an awesome smörgåsbord of fun food!

Being a parent of youth has its ups and downs. And the most important thing you can teach your youth is the power and importance of a relationship with God.

So, there will be more opportunities for you as the parent to sign up and help out with different events throughout the year! I will provide a calendar for you to look and see where you can help volunteer and be a vital part of your youth's spiritual journey.

I have attached a description and schedule of areas where help is needed and here is a link to sign up for dates! First come, first serve! And this is a team effort, so please sign up for at least two dates (you are welcome to do more if you can!) to help our ministry thrive and grow!
