Chromebook and iPad Collection
IPADS
Kindergarten students will be turning in their iPads and power cords on May 19-22, 2023. Please make sure your student returns an iPad, iPad case, power cord, and charging brick. Failure to return any part will result in a fee placed on Infinite Campus. When your student starts back in the fall, they will receive a Chromebook.
CHROMEBOOKS
Students in first, second, and third will keep their Chromebooks over the summer.
Fourth-graders' Chromebooks and power cords will be collected on May 22-24.
Failure to return a Chromebook or power cords will result in a fee placed in Infinite Campus.
If you have a device that is broken or needs minor repairs, please turn them in now before collection.
Current fourth-graders will receive their new Chromebook when school starts in the fall.
Prescription Pick Up
If your child has medication at school, especially prescription medication, please make arrangements to pick up the medicine before the school year ends. We cannot send home medications with your child at the end of the school year. Any medication that is left in the clinic over the summer will be destroyed.
Moving?
If you know that your student(s) will no longer be attending Sycamore Creek Elementary next school year, we encourage you to let us know. This helps us in the fall when we are trying to track down students that we were expecting to attend , but haven't shown up. If we are aware that a student will be moving and attending a different district, we can reach out to that district and confirm the move. Until we are in communication with the new district and they have requested your student's records, your student is considered our student and will be marked absent.
If you have a student in grades K-3, and know that they will not be attending Sycamore Creek Elementary next year, please email the principal at pamela_bertke@plsd.us. We greatly appreciate this communication and wish your family all the best.
PTO Updates
Fun Day is Wednesday May 17--TOMORROW
The kids will be outside for their session either in the morning or afternoon. Please remember to put sunblock on them prior to coming to school.
Your child will more than likely get wet during fun day so plan on sending an extra outfit for them to change into after.
All volunteer spots are filled for Fun Day.
Dunk Tank Volunteers: Last chance to help the PTO this year and spend some time with your kids-we need parents to supervise the dunk tank on Tuesday May 23. You must be a level 1 volunteer in order to help. Here is the link:
