Many thanks to the Fruean family who came in and shared aspects of Samoan culture with fire sticks, baking and weaving.

Last week and this week the children have been engaged in many different activities within the theme of First Aid with Mr Justin Lowcay. Justin has been working with our Tamariki this week teaching them skills within the field of First Aid. Thank you Justin, the kids have thoroughly enjoyed it

Mrs Rose Battersby will be joining our team for term 3 and 4 2021 as a teacher in the new entrant room.

Rose has many strengths to bring to our team, some include:

Training educators in Incredible Year programme

speech and language experience level 1 of Te Ahu o Te Reo

a strong interest in enrio schools programme.

Rose is a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and is very keen to add value to our school.

We are delighted that Rose will join with Alice and Rebecca to strengthen the environment where our children will enjoy many successes.

Our next Free Parent Webinar will be held on Monday 14 June at 7.30pm .

To ensure we keep track of numbers people can register by emailing their name and email address
to admin@raisingachievement.co.nz. A link to attend the webinar is sent out once registrations
are received.

Please do not walk on the driveway when you are coming to and from school. Please use the footpath by the pirate ship.

We have 390 students arriving and leaving the school each day and it can be very dangerous when cars are coming in or leaving school.

Just letting you know that Learning Partnership Interviews are Wednesday 30 Jun 3:15 - 5:15 and then again Thursday 1 July 1230pm - 7:45pm.

On Thursday 1 July we would appreciate those of you who can to have your children picked up at 1200 noon, so teachers can be released for interviews. For those parents who cannot arrange this, we have the capacity to have some children supervised until 3pm. Please let the office.

12:30 PM to 5:15 PM
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Each interview is 15 minutes long. Please ensure you arrive on time to each interview.

Booking your interviews

The booking website will open Monday, 17 May at 10:25 AM, and will close Wednesday, 30 June at 10:00 AM.

1. Go to parentinterviews.co.nz, enter the event code ZUB3ES7Y and click Go.
2. Enter your name, email address and the names of the students you wish to make bookings for.
3. Select the teachers you'd like to book by ticking the checkbox beside their name, and then click the Book Interviews button at the bottom of the page.
4. Using the timetable, click the Book button beside the time slot you'd like to book for the teacher. You'll be asked to confirm your booking.
5. Continue until you've booked all teachers.

Once you're finished, you can view your timetable by clicking My Interviews at the top of the page. You can also print a PDF timetable to take to your interviews.

Before your interviews, you'll receive an email reminder containing your timetable. If you need to cancel any interviews, you can do so by following the link in the email you received when you first signed up.

Welcome Paige Knowles who has started this week at IPS.

As you know, our school could NOT run as smoothly without our Support, Ancillary, Cleaners and Caretakers. Next week is a week for all of us to shown them some appreciation. We know these wonderful people love; notes of thanks, kind gestures and yummy things for morning tea. If you see any of our wonderful staff, please take the time to thank them for all they do.
